2024-25 Donruss Optic Basketball combines the old and new schools with a chromium take on a longstanding brand. Like previous years, the result is a vast checklist filled with color, autographs and inserts.

Hobby boxes promise one autograph as well as an average of either an insert or parallel per pack. Choice and Fast Break, a couple of other configurations, also have an autograph per box but these have their own spins as far as exclusives and overall focus.

2024-25 Donruss Optic Basketball Checklist Overview

The base set has 300 total cards, highlighting veterans (225 cards), legends (25 cards) and Rated Rookies (50 cards). The design matches that of 2024-25 Donruss Basketball, although this time it’s on chrome stock.

Parallels come in lots of colors and styles. Hobby-only versions include:

Autographs and Other Inserts

The core of the autographs in 2024-25 Donruss Optic Basketball are Rated Rookies Signatures. These carry the same look as the base cards and come with their own parallels including some that are exclusive to certain box types.

Like a lot of Donruss products, Optic has several insert sets. Most of these are anything but subtle, lending to the product’s colorful nature. Themes like Elite Dominators, Lights Out, Net Marvels, Red Hot Rookies, Rising Suns, and The Rookies all have parallels to go with their standard versions.

Of course, there are some rare chase sets as well including Slammy and Alter Ego, which plays off of players’ nicknames. Panini’s popular Downtown cards appear here as well, although they’re exclusive to hobby.
