2024-25 Topps Chrome Basketball marks the company’s first pro hoops set of the season. Moving on from Victor Wembanyama, the checklist highlights members of the 2024 draft class as well as plenty of star veterans and some retired greats.

Hobby boxes include a pair of autographs.

2024-25 Topps Chrome Basketball Checklist Overview

The 2024-25 Topps Chrome Basketball base set has 200 cards. Active veterans take up the majority of spots, however there are nearly 50 rookies. A smattering of Hall of Famers are also part of the product’s foundation.

It’s Topps Chrome so that means Refractors and lots of them. The parallel rainbow includes more than 30 different versions for every base card. This includes several exclusives like various Geometric versions in breaker boxes.

Similar to 2023-24, this release is licensed by the NBA Players Association. However, Panini continues to hold the NBA exclusive until the fall. As a result 2024-25 Topps Chrome Basketball cards do not have any league logos or trademarks.

Signatures come in eight different themes. Topps Chrome Autographs, Topps Certified Autograph Issue Rookies, Sky-Light Signatures, Next Stop Signatures and 1973 Topps Autographs all carry sizeable checklists and similar odds.

Chromographs, Future Stars Autographs and a veteran-driven Topps Certified Autograph Issue are all exclusive to value blaster boxes and mega boxes.

Headlining the other inserts on the 2024-25 Topps Chrome Basketball checklist are short prints like Advisory, Dippers, Helix, Let’s Go!, Radiating Rookies, Rock Stars, Ultra Violet All-Stars and the fire die-cut 451.

As far as more common sets that are retail-only, collectors can hunt for Fresh Start, Show and Tell, Countdown Complete, Film Study and Ball of Duty.
