PICK YOUR TEAM - YANKEES FILLER BEFORE THE BREAK

Premium elements push 2020 Topps Tier One Baseball to another level of MLB collecting. Per Topps, the release is "Home to some of the most sought-after autograph and relic cards in the hobby."

Just like 2019, the product is all hits. For collectors, that means two autographs and one relic per Hobby box, and one "rare" Tier One autograph per case.

2020 Topps Tier One Baseball Autographs

Similar to past years, the 2020 Topps Tier One Baseball checklist offers multiple on-card autograph lines. This includes Tier One Autographs (#/199 or less), with a wide approach to the talent of today and yesterday, alongside Break Out Autographs (#/299 or less) for young stars.

In addition, Prime Performers Autographs (#/299 or less) covers top names of past and present, while Tier One Talent Autographs (#/299 or less) focuses on those that excel in batting, fielding, pitching, power or speed. New this year is Next Level Autographs (#/50 or less) for some of the very biggest stars.

All five sets work in Bronze Ink (#/25), Silver Ink (#/10) and Gold Ink (1/1) parallels.

More choices include hard-signed Dual Autographs (#/25 or less), Triple Autographs (#/10 or less), Clear One Autographs (#/10 or less) and Clear One Dual Autographs (##/10 or less). There are also one-of-one Cut Signatures.

2020 Topps Tier One Baseball Autograph Relics

Naturally, the autograph relics showcase a variety of signed memorabilia cards. The Autographed Tier One Relics set is numbered to 99 or less for current and former stars, adding Dual Patch (#/25) and Triple Patch (1/1) versions.

Autographed Prodigious Patches (#/10 or less) goes big with on-card signatures and jumbo game-used patches. These have a one-of-one Platinum parallel, as well.

The Dual Autograph Tier One Relic Book cards, limited to 10 copies or less with a one-of-one Dual Patch parallel, highlight two players with a signature and game-used swatch.

Finally, Cut Signature Relics (1/1) cards display game-used gear alongside the cut autograph.

2020 Topps Tier One Baseball Relics

While autographs fill two spots in the three-card boxes, the third card is a relic. Choices again stretch from basic memorabilia to very rare hits with quality pieces.

2020 Topps Tier One Baseball has the main Tier One Relics insert, numbered to 399 or less. The Dual Patch (#/25) and Triple Patch (1/1) parallels promise that at least one swatch is a uniform patch. The more accomplished players are found in Tier One Legend Relics. Numbered to 199 or less, these have Dual (#/25) and Triple (1/1) relic editions.

Pushing into the rarest cards is Tier One Uniform Button Relics (#/5), with a one-of-one on-card Autograph version, and the jumbo-relic Prodigious Patches (#/10). Prodigious Patches comes in a Platinum (1/1) parallel, as well.

Offering event-worn patches from the All-Star Game warm-up jersey, the Tier One All-Star Patches set is all one-of-one cards, including the hard-signed Autograph edition.

That leaves only the one-of-one Tier One Bat Knobs and Tier One Limited Lumber.
